Description

Just like our coffee roasting story started here, the very first part of the story of humanity is found in the biblical book of Genesis.  Theologians say that every doctrine in all of scripture can be found somewhere in Genesis in seed form.  If you’ve never read the Bible, here is a great place to start.  

Genesis 1:11 - “And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so”

Praise the Lord God, maker of coffee!

Gen 3:15 - “and I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”

This was the very first promise of salvation that God gave to us after we fell, really it is the very first mention of the gospel in all of scripture.  Jesus, the seed of the woman, has crushed the serpent’s head through dying on the cross.  What an awesome savior!

Genesis 22:18 - “and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed…”

This covenant promise God made with Abraham so many millennia ago would be ultimately fulfilled in Jesus Christ.  Jesus, the offspring of Abraham, is King of Kings and makes his offer of salvation to people from every nation, tongue and tribe.  In him is blessing for any and all who put their trust in him.
